Our preventative measures in response to COVID-19

We’re looking forward to gradually reopening Thermëa while protecting the health of our guests and employees alike.

As always, we continue to closely follow recommendations from public health officials, and we’re applying the highest standards in the spa industry to ensure your visit is a safe and peaceful one. As such, you’ll notice several changes to the experience as a whole – from the moment you make your reservation to the time you leave the spa. We’re happy to share these changes with you here, in an effort to answer any questions you may have.

  • In an effort to reduce unnecessary contact and create a touchless experience, guests are now required to make a reservation either online or by phone for all our services; walk-ins are no longer accepted. Guests will also be required to pay in advance, at the moment of booking.  
  • Guests are required to confirm that they are in good health before they are able to make a reservation. They will also be asked to confirm the state of their health upon arrival.  
  • Guests who have booked a massage or body care treatment will receive a courtesy call from one of our customer service representatives before the day of their reservation to confirm the state of their health. 
  • A new relaxed cancellation policy has been implementedmodifications can be made to reservations the day before for any reason.  


Check-In: Screening Process 

  • Upon arrival, guests will be instructed to carefully and thoroughly wash
    their hands before entering the spa to complete the registration


 Physical Distancing  

  • To help us maintain physical distancing measures on site, please arrive a maximum of 15 minutes early for your appointment. Guests who arrive more than 15 minutes early will kindly be asked to wait in the parking lot. 
  • Site occupancy has been significantly reduced to allow guests to maintain physical distancing. 
  • Reservation schedules have been adjusted to better control the flow of guests checking in at any given moment.  
  • The occupancy of our services is actively monitored and limited. 
  • Seats will be assigned to our guests when necessary. 

Personal Protection 

  • Protective screens have been installed at our service counters.  
  • Guests are required to wear a mask, or a full-face piece in enclosed or partially covered public spaces, and/or if the area does not permit physical distancing.


Reducing Contact 

  • Contactless check-in kiosks have been installed.  
  • Automatic doors have been installed.
  • Antibacterial door handles have been installed.
  • All receipts will be provided via email. 
  • Payments in cash are no longer accepted; guests will be asked to pay by credit, debit, or preauthorized electronic wristbands. 
  • Personal bathrobes are no longer permitted.
  • Self-service stations (such as water and tea stations) have been removed.   


Hygiene Measures 

  • Multiple hand sanitizing stations have been installed throughout the site. 
  • Signage indicating best hand washing practices has been installed in the relevant areas.  


Cleaning Procedures

  • We’ve increased our housekeeping staff as well as the frequency with which our public spaces are cleaned every hour.  
  • New procedures and products have been implemented to ensure a more intense sanitization of our facilities 

Our Employees

In addition to training our employees regarding cleaning and sanitation, hand hygiene, and respiratory etiquette, we’re conducting employee health screening. We’re also asking employees to stay home if they don’t feel well. If there’s a chance they’ve been exposed to COVID-19, we’re directing them to self-isolate for 14 days and contact the appropriate authorities.  


  • Employees are required to complete a self-assessment of their health before leaving for work each day.  
  • Employees undergo a health assessment upon arrival each day, prior to entering the spa. In the event that they are exhibiting any symptoms, we reserve the right to take their temperature.  
  • Employees wash their hands upon arrival; frequent handwashing throughout their shift is mandatory.  
  • Employees are required to wear masks. 
  • Employees are required to sterilize their workstations often and in between shift changes. 
  • Employees are required to maintain scrupulous personal hygiene, including a freshly laundered uniform for each shift.  
  • Compulsory training has been implemented to educate employees on our new procedures and hygiene measures. 
  • Meetings are virtual when possible; otherwise meetings are held with a limited number of employees where physical distancing is maintained.
